Tacticon Armament's Level IV armor is a high-performance composite of ceramic and UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), weighing only 7 lbs. In accordance with the NIJ .06 standard, it is tested to halt (1) shot of 30-06 M2AP. This armor solution is designed to effectively stop an Armor Piercing round while managing trauma. As a complete standalone plate, it requires no additional soft armor. The plate's goal is to minimize weight while still providing the ability to stop an AP round. We always prioritize weight and comfort, which is why this plate features a multi-curve system to conform to your torso. This armor solution is also effective against other rifle threats, such as 5.56 M193/M855, 7.62x51(M80), and 7.62x39.

Yes! This plate is designed to stop 7.62x39 (122 gr) MSC, 5.56 M193/M855 variations, 7.62x51(M80), and all common handgun threats.
Is it multi-hit?
Yes. It can withstand more than one hit from the 30-06 M2AP.
What is TPU (Thermal Polyurethane)?
TPU, short for Thermal Polyurethane, is a plastic material that is heated to vacuum form around our plates. Following the vacuum forming process, we seal the edges with TPU to create a watertight seal that keeps moisture out and even repels diesel. Ensuring the covering is secure is a crucial yet often overlooked process, as it prevents moisture or foreign material from compromising the integrity of the composite armor.
