Our plate carriers have earned a solid reputation among civilians, law enforcement officers, and even on Eastern European battlefields. While our existing carrier options continue to be effective, we have listened to our customers and revamped the design to surpass contemporary standards. Introducing the Battle Vest Elite.
Crafted from 500D Nylon, this carrier guarantees durability for everyday use and weather resistance. Double stitching in high-stress areas ensures that the carrier maintains its structural integrity under demanding conditions. Weighing in at just 2 lbs. 9 oz, the Battle Vest Elite is lightweight and comfortable, featuring an inner breathable mesh that fits snugly to the body. Integrated shoulder pads enhance load-bearing capabilities while minimizing the footprint compared to our original battle vest, ensuring less interference with your weapon system.
Our innovative Quick Release System includes four attachment points located on each shoulder and each side of the cummerbund. Simply pull the QD tabs firmly outward to quickly and easily remove the plate carrier from your body. The cummerbund showcases a skeletonized, fully adjustable design that accommodates users of various sizes. MOLLE attachments encircle the carrier, allowing for precise gear placement. Both the front and back of the carriers include Velcro across the MOLLE surface for secure integration of chest rigs and other hook-and-loop compatible gear items while maintaining compatibility with traditional MOLLE attachments.
The rear of the lightweight Battle Vest Elite plate carrier has been tailored to fit our new backpack, which features a removable panel that seamlessly interfaces with the hook-and-loop Velcro on the back of the carrier and the side buckles for an unmatched secure fit.
NOTE: The Battle Vest Elite Plate Carrier does NOT accommodate side plates and is only compatible with 8"x10" and 10"x12" armor plates.
Trauma Pads
Non-Newtonian foam is designed to absorb energy transfer when a round impacts your body armor plate, helping you stay in the fight. This advanced material is also used in motorcycle protective gear. Tacticon body armor trauma pads minimize injury to your body from back face deformation of the plate, such as broken ribs or other damage. Furthermore, our lightweight trauma pads enhance comfort and wearability by providing a cushioned barrier between you and your Tacticon AR500 / AR600 body armor plates.
Tacticon Trauma Pads Body Armor comes with a lifetime warranty. If you are shot while wearing the plate carrier and trauma pad, we will replace the plate carrier, plates, and trauma pad at no cost to you (police report required).
SRT (Special Rifle Threat) 2.57 lbs Multi-curve Armor Plate (TASRT)
Tacticon Armament's SRT (Special Rifle Threat) is a lightweight armor solution crafted from UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), weighing a mere 2.57 lbs. The SRT armor is designed to address threats not traditionally tested by the NIJ .06 standard. It is tailored to keep your loadout light while protecting against common rifle rounds, such as the 5.56 M193 (standard AR-15 round) and the 7.62x39 (AK-47 round). This armor has been tested to withstand six shots from either the M193 or 7.62x39, while maintaining trauma within a safe range. This plate functions as a standalone unit, meaning no additional components are needed for trauma mitigation.

Why is it a SRT and not level III?
The NIJ .06 definition for Level III plate testing parameters require six shots of 7.62x51 (M80) with less than 44mm of back face signature on the first two shots and zero penetrations on the last four. We designed the SRT to address the more common threats of 5.56 and 7.62x39. Typically, a Level III plate is thicker and heavier to stop the excessive trauma created by the 147-grain 7.62x51 round. By focusing on "special rifle threats" not tested by the NIJ (5.56/7.62x39), we can create a lighter and thinner plate.
Will it stop a 7.62×51 (M80)?
Yes, it will stop the round with zero penetration. However, since the trauma may exceed the safety limit of 44mm, we do not advertise it as such.
Is it Multi-hit?
Yes, it is designed to effectively withstand six shots of M193 and 7.62x39 MSC while maintaining trauma within the acceptable range of under 44mm.
