A 2019 FBI study revealed that 45.7% of all US homicides were committed using a pistol, while just 2.6% involved a rifle and 10.6% involved a knife. While rifle-rated plates offer excellent ballistic protection, they may not always be practical due to weight, size, and concealability concerns. Our new Level IIIA plate addresses these issues, weighing just over 1 lb. and providing protection against common pistol rounds up to .44 magnum.

This 9.5" x 12.5" multi-curved SAPI cut plate is made of polyethylene and finished with a proprietary high-strength lining similar to that found on our AR500/600 steel plates. Ideal for security guards, police officers, concealed carry, and adding ballistic protection to items like backpacks, this plate is an excellent option for both civilians and government agencies seeking a low-profile, lightweight plate.

Warranty & Returns

Body armor warrantied up to 20 years (depending on armor type). If you’re shot while wearing the plate carrier and trauma pad, we will replace the plate carrier, plates, and trauma pad free of charge. (POLICE REPORT REQUIRED). Armor (i.e. plates) must be returned within a week of receiving it. Once body armor is purchased it may not be returned after 7 calendar days from receiving the product. This is to ensure the integrity of our armor was not compromised as it is meant to save lives. The return of body armor is subject to a 15% restocking fee due to inspections and QC testing upon our receipt of the return.
